BONDEDGE VERSION 4.1 RELEASED WITH NEW GLOBAL FUNCTIONALITY Los Angeles, CA, March 27, 2000 - Capital Management Sciences, a division of Data Broadcasting Corporation (Nasdaq:DBCC), announced the latest release of BondEdge, its fixed income portfolio analytics system. Version 4.1 offers several enhancements including a Multi-Currency bond database, new Global Portfolio vs. Index Reporting, a Portfolio Alerts, and an Asset/Liability Optimizer. New content has also been added to the BondEdge Private Client Website. For portfolio managers with non-US$ fixed income investments, the release of the BondEdge Multi-Currency Database offers comprehensive coverage of fixed rate global securities. For benchmark comparisons, a new Global Distribution Report allows investment managers with global mandates to compares portfolios to the Salomon Brothers World Government Bond and/or EMU Government Bond index, showing breakdowns by currency, country and sector. The new version of BondEdge has a lot to offer the portfolio manager with a non-US$ mandate, explains Teri Geske, Senior Vice President of Product Development for CMS. As always, our development priorities are driven by what the market demands, and international fixed income investing is growing tremendously as the euro has eliminated much of the currency hedging and interest rate risk that discouraged US managers from entering the international bond markets. In addition to the global enhancements, a new Portfolio Alerts Report informs portfolio managers of those corporate bonds and agency securities that have been upgraded, downgraded or called during the previous month. This isnt rocket science, Geske notes, but it definitely makes a busy portfolio managers job a little easier. BondEdge Version 4.1 also offers an Asset/Liability Optimizer that allows portfolio managers to create or rebalance portfolios based on cash flow matching or immunization funding strategies. The Optimizer selects the optimal combination of securities according to the specified investment constraints and provides several reports detailing the portfolio composition, recommended transactions, and comparisons to the liabilities to be funded. The BondEdge Private Client Website has been enhanced to offer detailed mortgage-backed securities data such as factor and prepayment speed history, geographical breakdowns and loan origination year information. The data is presented via a browser that is embedded into the BondEdge system. Other information available on the private client site includes CMS research publications, a menu of BondEdge database changes and market commentary. About CMS Contacts
