The release of BondEdge version 4.5 includes further additions to the global analytics offering new security pricing and modeling tools, plus enhancements to the CMS BondEdge MBS prepayment model. Enhancements made to the global analytics were inplemented in anticipation of the UK Launch planned for October 17, 2001.

L.A. Shop Ramps BondEdge with Euro in Mind
CMS BondEdge plans to release version 4.5g of the BondEdge software with enhancements to its global features, as it gears up for a mid-October 2001 launch of BondEdge overseas. CMS BondEdge is currently in process of recruiting for sales/support staff, to be based in London-based office of sister affiliate, FT Interactive Data. Other enhancements include high-yield security coverage from Interactive Data, and the ability to model securities based on the LIBOR curve, with a release date schedule for late June.

BondEdge Looking Ahead to Rebirth
CMS is looking at ways to expand both the markets and functionality of the current system. Two major efforts to accomplish this goal are already underway - rearchitechting the BondEdge system, and building a global fixed income analytical system. BondEdge, currently a monolithic application, will be broken down into component pieces which can then be sold off as stand-alone or customizable entities, easily integrated with other applications, and finally, allow for easier and more frequent updates to the systems overall functionality. On the global front, BondEdge already includes key global analytic features, but will continue to add enhancements as the company gears up for an overseas launch of the product in 2001.
